Warnings

  • Q: Are there certain highly-rated signals that should be avoided at SignalStart.com?
  • A: For sure:
    • Check if the signal has any old open trades. Some traders don't close their losing trades and this is a very bad sign! This helps to keep their win rates and account balances high. So watch out for old open losing trades.
    • If the chart has a sharp upward jump in the beginning and then a flat line after that, then you missed the time of profit. To boost ratings, many traders open multiple accounts and take huge risks to get a high profit percentage on one of these accounts. Of course, you never see the losing accounts. After that, they reduce their risk and trade very carefully with little to no profit.
    • If the chart goes up and down, you are in for a risky ride. If you jump in at the wrong time, you lose big.
    • Be aware that the perspective on the chart can be very misleading if you have an old period of high profit. On charts like these, drawdowns look much smaller than they really are.
    • The chart should have an upward slope without downward falls and without old open trades.
    • At the time of writing this, all the signals in the top 20 fell outside of our criteria.
  • Q: Are there certain highly-rated signals that should be avoided at MQL5.com?

    • Check that the win-rate is high. (Without open trades).
    • Some signal providers opens a large number of trades on the same pair, and this can be very risky. You may think you are trading minimum lot size of 0.01, but in reality you are trading: 20 x 0.01 lots = 0.2 lots for example.
